Chesapeake Conservancy, in collaboration with Blacks of the Chesapeake Foundation, The Conservation Fund, the City of Annapolis and Anne Arundel County in Maryland, successfully acquired the former home of Dr. Parlett Moore, educator and former Coppin State University president, to expand the Elktonia-Carr’s Beach Heritage Park. The 0.67-acre Moore property, adjacent to the5.17-acre park, will be managed by the City of Annapolis Recreation & Parks.
