New Chesapeake Story Map Highlights 65 Historically Black Beaches and Sites of Significance

A new story map, created through the partnership of Chesapeake Conservancy and Blacks of the Chesapeake Foundation (BOCF), showcases 65 historically Black beaches and other sites of Black historical significance across the Chesapeake Bay watershed. This effort aims to empower conservation and ensure the preservation of these vital historical sites. While the list is extensive, Chesapeake Conservancy and BOCF acknowledge that there are many more sites of Black history.
